I support a woman’s right to choose where to birth her baby and believe in empowering her to make her own informed decisions throughout her pregnancy and her birth. I am a Daisy Birthing antenatal teacher, baby yoga instructor and Doula UK recognized birth doula. I have two boys and have experienced both a hospital birth and a home water birth. I am passionate about birth, babies and mums! I believe in mothering the mother throughout pregnancy, birth and beyond and want every mum to have the best possible birth journey they can have.
After planning a home birth with my first baby, I chose an induction in hospital following PROM (premature rupture of membranes) and testing positive for strep B. I had a good birth experience at the Alexandra Hospital, but decided to pursue my longed for home birth with my second son. I experienced a wonderful home water birth at 13 days post my due date and he was a bouncing 10lb 9oz! This gave me the faith that women’s bodies are amazing and given the right supportive environment and care they are capable of birthing whatever size baby they grow!
My Doula experience has included hospital, home and birth centre births, induction of labour, VBA2C (vaginal birth after 2 csections) and cesarean birth. I am now a Doula UK Recognised Birth Doula. I am always supportive of wherever and however a mum chooses to birth her baby.
My home is in Redditch and I am happy to travel within the counties of Worcestershire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands.
