My own birth stories in brief: After planning a home birth with my first baby, I chose an induction in hospital following PROM (premature rupture of membranes) and testing positive for strep B. I had a good birth experience at the Alexandra Hospital, but decided to pursue my longed-for home birth with my second son. I experienced a wonderful home water birth at 13 days post my due date and he was a bouncing 10lb 9oz! This gave me the faith that women’s bodies are amazing and given the right supportive environment and care they are capable of birthing whatever size baby they grow!
My experience as a Doula has included hospital, home and birth centre births, induction of labour, VBA2C (vaginal birth after 2 csections) and in-labour and planned cesarean birth. I have completed my Doula UK recognition. I am always supportive of wherever and however a mum chooses to birth her baby.
